The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 is a refreshed version of the popular hatchback that received exterior and interior updates, including a new grille, front and rear bumpers, and a modern touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It was available with a 1.2-liter petrol engine or an 1.2-liter diesel engine, the latter getting a power and torque boost. Key features included options for a 4-speed automatic transmission, a new infotainment system, and safety features like dual airbags and ABS on top trims.

  • Exterior: Features a new cascading grille, redesigned front air dam, L-shaped fog lamp housings with LED daytime running lights, and a revised rear bumper with new reflectors.
  • Interior: Received a new dual-tone black and grey cabin theme with a more airy feel and new features like a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink.
  • Comfort and convenience: Includes automatic climate control, a cooled glove box, a push-button start-stop system, and rear AC vents on higher-end models. 
Performance and mechanicals
  • Petrol engine: 1.2-liter Kappa Dual VTVT engine producing around 81 bhp and 114 Nm of torque, available with a 4-speed automatic or manual transmission.
  • Diesel engine: Updated 1186cc engine with an increase to 75 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque.
  • Suspension: Improved suspension for a more refined and stable ride. 
Safety features
  • Airbags: Dual front airbags and ABS were available on top variants, while others might only have a driver-side airbag.
  • Parking assist: A rear parking assist system with a display on the infotainment screen was offered on higher trims.
